Built in 1834, the Ohio Penitentiary was actually the second Ohio Penitentiary, the third state prison, and the fourth jail in early Columbus. In April 1955 it housed an all-time high of 5,235 prisoners. Most prisoners were removed from the prison by 1972 with the completion of the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, and the facility was closed in 1984. The state sold the Ohio Penitentiary to the City of Columbus in 1995.
Much debate has surrounded the future of the Ohio Penitentiary. When thoughts turned to demolishing the penitentiary, the preservationist community mounted a campaign to save at least five historic buildings on Spring Street. The City of Columbus is cooperating with preservationists on a federal review of these buildings. However, crews are scheduled to begin tearing down the remaining 15 buildings in March, 1997. Demolition is expected to take three to four months. In addition to the above-ground demolition work, the city must hire a contractor to remove or minimize underground contamination remaining from decades of industrial activity and coal-burning at the site. The 23-acre site, bounded by Maple, West and Spring Streets and Neil Avenue, was the proposed location of a soccer stadium of up to 35,000 seats. However, on May 6, 1997, Franklin County voters rejected a three-year sales tax increase which would have helped finance this project. The future of the Pen site remains unknown. The Klinge Brothers - Steve Gonsalves - Dave Tango
Join the Klinge Brothers in this circa 1886 hotel on the square in Ballinger, Texas (about 30 miles south of San Angelo). The hotel is very active with footsteps, disembodied voices, shadow figures, and even a few apparitions. The building served as everything from a hotel, a school, a brothel, and even a home over it's 130 year history. Only 20 tickets will be sold to this event, and the hotel is over 10,000 square feet--you do the math. From completed rooms to areas under renovation...you have access to the whole place. In fact, if you purchase your ticket by February 28th, you will be entered into a drawing where you can sleep overnight after the event at the hotel with the Klinge Brothers. Two rooms will be drawn, and each is double occupancy.

The Old South Pittsburg Hospital is considered by many to be one of the most haunted locations in Tennessee. If you are interested in experiencing a haunted hospital firsthand or would like to indulge in overnight ghost hunting, this is the place to be. This particular structure is located at what many refer to as the foothills of the South Pittsburg Mountain in the State of Tennessee. In the year of 1959, four medical professionals founded the facility and named it the “South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital”or “SPMH” for short. It consisted of a total of 68,000 sq ft and was designed to meet the medical care needs of the growing community. Many physical additions were constructed throughout the next several decades to the haunted hospital. Many lawsuits, wrongful deaths, child abuse deaths, and many tragic deaths due to fatal illnesses occurred. Unfortunately, due to a new hospital being built the long serving nonprofit hospital quietly closed its doors. Old South Pittsburg Hospital was closed in the year of 1998. Since then, it has been dubbed as one of the most haunted places in Tennessee. Season 2 Episode 8 of Ghost Lab entitled "No Escape" features their invetigation of OSPH in 2010. The show can be seen in entirety below.

On August 18, 1936, the voters of Madison Township passed a bond issue for a consolidated elementary school at Poasttown and an addition to West Middletown School. On September 7, 1937, the new school on Franklin-Trenton Road opened. This brought the end to the township's one-room schools. Pupils from Upper and Lower Browns Run, Dubbs, Pike and old Poasttown were assigned to the new building. The new school opened with 200 pupils; however all construction was not completed, so the building was not dedicated until April 15, 1938. Ghostly activity has been reported to exist since the closing of the school several years ago. Come experience a hands-on investigation with the Klinge Brothers of Discovery Channel's Ghost Lab as they attempt to find out if class is still in session. Event starts at 6pm and runs until 2am. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased below.

A former Union General, the first train robber, 1930s gangsters, world champion athletes and the assassin that killed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. all came through the gates of the Missouri State Penitentiary (MSP) as inmates. Some left MSP for successful careers in the arts, sports and even state government; others chose a life of more crime. Others met their fate with the executioner, and many still may be serving an after-life sentence. Join the Klinge Brothers, Amy Allan, John Zaffis, and Dustin Pari as they search for the lost souls of the MSP. This is an Ideal Management Event. Tickets can be purchased at www.idealeventmanage.com
This antebellum mansion is like stepping into the movie Gone With the Wind--southern hospitality, decadence, and of course a few ghosts. Right on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River northwest of New Orleans and in the vast expanse of sugarcane fields that still exist today, Nottoway Plantation's rich history has carried through this nations most trying times including slavery and the Civil War. One of Everyday Paranormal's highest rated episodes of Ghost Lab was filmed here (Season 1 "Murky Waters) where they experimented with the idea that the river has a lot to do with the haunting of the home (see full episode below).
Join the Klinge Borthers and EP once again as they visit Nottoway. They will be joined by paranormal author David Weatherly, psychic/medium Dakota Lawrence, and the infamous Lord Chaz--New Orleans own resident Vampire
September 30th, 2017 - Old South Pittsburg Hospital - South Pittsburg, TN
For years, the Old Yoakum Hospital was run by the Catholic Church--which may be a good reason why people have reported the sights and sounds of an apparition known as the Blue Nun and a former priest. Just prior to closing its doors in the 1990s, the waiting room witnessed the horror of a young nurse being gunned down by an estranged boyfriend. Her spirit is said to still roam its vast and vacant corridors. The Klinge Brothers filmed one episode of their documentary series Strange Curiosity at this location and caught some interesting evidence. Come on May 6th for a viewing of that episode, then wander the hallways yourself in search of the lost souls still seen and heard in this old building.

That’s right, eleven ghosts – not one, not two, but eleven. Up your odds for a ghostly encounter, and get some variety into your hunt for the supernatural. Perhaps you’ll see Henry, a slave, looking for some vengeance; or hear the cries of Sally Rebecca Walke, grieving over the death of her lover; or get a replay of the Lady in White tumbling down the stairs, breaking her neck; or come across one of the victims of an 1810 shipwreck. But it’s a run in with The Witch of Pungo, of course, that’s most coveted. You see, one of Ferry Plantation's most unusual claims to fame is that it is the sight of Virginia's only witch conviction in the early 1700s. The American Revolution and the Civil War saw action on these grounds as well.
Join the Klinge Brothers as they investigate this location they have never been to before. There will be two nights of investigations (Friday and Saturday). You have ticket options for either night for $60 or both nights for just $99. All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given unless the event is cancelled by the organizer.
