K-9 Unit

Animals are said to be sensitive to paranormal activity.  Many claims of activity describe how a family pet (mainly dogs) will stare at a chair, cowar unexplainably, run out of a room for no reason, or in the more serious cases, not even take one step into an area.  Everyday Paranormal is the first and only paranormal investigation team at this time who incorporate dogs into their investigations.  In cases that may warrant such an action and at the client's permission, we will bring one of four dogs on site.  Our goal is to simply note areas where the dogs behavior is abnormal.  It works like this:  as soon as we arrive on site, the dog is taken by leash through the property/building/home where claims of activity are reported.  The handler will note any red flag areas.  The dog is then placed in his kennel and the investigation will begin.  We will conduct our standard thorough investigation of the location, and we will pay close attention to the red flag areas.  If we are able to record paranormal activity in those areas, we can make a connection between animal behavior and paranormal activity.

This is just one more tool we use in our efforts to document evidence--nothing more.  These dogs are just some of our investigator's family pets and have no special training in search missions (Everyday Dogs if you will).  We in no way claim that these dogs can sense ghosts.  W
e just want to see if there is a high percentage where a behavior change is seen in conjunction with other evidence.  When we schedule your investigation, we will ask your permission to bring the dogs out.  There is no obligation to use our K-9 unit.  As mentioned, it is just one of the many tools that we use in our research.  Here is our latest K-9 roster:

Name:  Cocoa
Breed:  Chihuahua
Sex:      Male
Age:      7 years

Cocoa is not your usual chihuahua.  He is not a yappy, shivering dog as most might expect from this breed.  He is very much an alpha dog with an unusual keen sense of hearing.  Cocoa's specialties are smaller apartments, condos, or homes where space is limited.

Name:  Jack
Breed:  Jack Russell Terrier
Sex:      Male
Age:      5 years

Jack has the personality of a typical Jack Russell--very friendly and enthusiastic.  As typical of this breed, Jack can climb and jump like no other.  He has been known to climb 20 or 30 feet into trees after birds and squirrels.  This makes Jack a specialist in hard to reach areas such as attics or rugged terrain.

Name:  Maximus
Breed:  Siberian Husky
Sex:      Male
Age:      1 year

As typical with the breeds closer to their wolf cousins, Maximus has the increased primal senses of smell, hearing, and sight.  His specialties are obviously colder environment investigations and tracking.
